Courtyard Inverness Airport

The hotel development has been designed specifically to be constructed offsite in a modular solution. Working closely with the modular provider, our design has integrated the construction methodology into the scheme to maintain a high quality product delivered on an optimised construction programme. The 130 bed hotel with complementary uses is sited adjacent to Inverness Airport, within the curtilage of the Inverness Airport Business Park masterplan. The site is located towards the north-east of the IABP masterplan and is in close proximity to Inverness Airport main terminal.

The material palette looks to take influence from the masterplan guidance and surrounding context. Particular attention has been paid to the materials and colours which are present within Inverness and the surrounding area to create a palette of warm, rich and natural tones. The materials draw on influences such as the natural stone which is prevalent within Inverness city centre. These historic influences have been given a modern interpretation by using high quality contemporary materials that will both complement the hotel use and be robust enough to withstand the harsh conditions of the exposed site.
