An exciting partnership with Hilton has brought about a contemporary resurgence of a once tired interior. This transformation is an excellent demonstration on how to prioritise the budget and still deliver a high-level design — the skill is knowing where to spend money, or not spend money, to maximise gains.

Through years of forging a trusted relationship, Ica were again appointed directly by Hilton, not only to re-imagine the public areas but to implement a low-cost prototype guestroom that has be rolled out across the brands core hotels in need of reviving. Encompassing the brands core values, delivered to a modest budget.
Celebrating the narrative
The brand love to celebrate a hotels locality and history, to relive this narrative, weaving it through the design — like a forgotten favourite tale discovered in a second-hand bookstore, to be enjoyed once again. Croydon was once home to an airport steeped in history, which was destroyed during the Battle of Britain, with some original buildings still standing today. We have honoured this heritage in an abstract and subtle way, taken into every detail, through forms and patterns. From flight paths to breath-taking arial views seen from aeroplanes, inspired graphical prints to decorative shelving units and back bar design, all the way through to the palette. Getting the balance just right. The result — a relaxed yet stylish vibe, a place guests want to stay awhile.
