Combining brand experience with creativity
We designed the interiors of the landmark Hilton hotel within The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA) — the city’s only Hilton Hotels & Resorts branded property.
Bringing our extensive brand experience and creativity to the design team, we delivered the new build, core brand Hilton which offers a luxurious proposition for business and leisure travellers visiting the city.
The stunning hotel sets a new standard in luxury accommodation in the city boasting 200 guestrooms — including a spectacular presidential suite with its own private terrace. Amenities include two fabulous restaurants, sophisticated cocktail bar, meeting and conference facilities as well as a fully appointed destination spa with 20m pool providing a perfect sanctuary for visitors and guests alike.
A close and collaborative relationship with the client, brand and operator allowed us to explore the brief and maximise opportunities for revenue generating spaces throughout the hotel. The Ica team ensured that the level of design met the aspirations for Hilton’s flagship brand. We used our extensive hospitality experience to strike the balance between high-end luxury and operational functionality to create a hotel that both the client and customer loves.
Naturally inspired
A strong narrative was fundamental in creating a truly inspiring design for the Hilton TECA and has been woven into the finest detailing. The interior takes inspiration from the rugged geology of the surrounding landscape and incorporates natural materials and geometric elements — evidenced in the striking entrance lobby with oversized furniture pieces which reference the landscape and the digitally printed illuminated glass wall panels which punctuate the corridors alluding to the city’s oil industry heritage.

Rooms
There are four floors of rooms ranging from standard to executive, all generously sized and immaculately appointed. The hotel is also the only one in Aberdeen to offer a presidential suite, a real treat with a private terrace, studio kitchen and separate living room.
Conference facilites
The hotel provides the perfect blend of cutting-edge corporate facilities to host high level meetings and comfort to provide an opportunity to relax and entertain once the day’s business has been concluded. Conferences and events for up to 90 guests are perfectly catered for, with 257m2 of stylish meeting space, whilst the exclusive Executive Lounge boasts access to an outdoor terrace overlooking the P&J Live piazza.
The city’s only Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand hotel marks a major milestone for the wider hospitality industry in Aberdeen. This new property offers a truly luxurious proposition for business and leisure travellers visiting the city in a totally unique location.
