The View Hotel

The Eastbourne Conference Hotel stands on the historic Grand Parade in Eastbourne. Built in the 1970s by the Transport & General Workers Union this 9-storey hotel is located in a prime position on the seafront.

The existing building is predominantly vertical in character but has public spaces of bars, restaurants and conferencing at lower levels providing a strong horizontal base. Our role within this project has been to bring the building back to life by means of repairs and enhancements to the listed building fabric and a series of light interventions resulting in improved access to the building and remodelling of the internal spaces. This remodelling combined with an entirely new interior design scheme creates a hotel with extensive public spaces, a restaurant and conferencing facilities.
